❓Почему крупным игрокам так важно охотиться на маржинальщиков? Их же не так много(наверное) по отношению к общей массе трейдеров-немаржинальщиков

❓Если данное соотношение все видят, то почему оно должно работать?

Этот вопрос напрямую связан с вопросом выше. Видимо, ММ готов идти на такой шаг, даже пожертвовав тем, что может дать заработать немаржинальным трейдерам в угоду «бритья» маржинальных. Но, зачастую, на такие жертвы ММ идет в случае аномально большого кол-ва тех или иных позиций относительно недавних значений. Смотрим пример ниже 👇

На фоне негативных настроений на рынке, толпа продавала/шортила биткоин с целью откупить актив еще ниже. Но, заработать ей, конечно же, не дали.

Плавно перехожу к тому, что «12 апреля» может повториться. Кто знает, будет ли это 27 августа, либо 3 сентября(цифры взяты «с потолка») но, по логике вещей, что-то подобное мы в скором времени можем увидеть снова. Всё дело в том, что кол-во шорт позиций снова близится к своим рекордным значениям от 12 апреля.

Цели, цели и еще раз цели

Как же определить, до куда нужно гнать цену вверх, дабы выбить всех ждунов BTC по 3000? (да-да, именно с такими мыслями народ открывал шорт в районе 6000. ). Всё просто. Открываем 4ч график для простоты восприятия и смотрим диапазон, на котором было открыто большинство шорт-позиций и в какой период на ценовом графике это было сделано.

Таким образом, выделяем уровни, где с большей долей вероятности наконец-то можем увидеть серьезное закрытие шортов: 6900, 7150, 7280, 7450.

Вчера мы отмечали тенденцию к закрытию лонговых позиций на росте/в проторговке, а также закрытию шорт позиций, но не после импульса, а тоже в проторговке(что отбрасывает вариант со стоп-лоссами в зоне 7000-7100).

По состоянию на вчерашний вечер, шорт-позиций было

Кто может закрывать эти шорты? Давайте рассуждать логически. Если основная их масса открывалась в диапазоне 7450, 7280, 7150. Есть ли мысли о том, что крупный игрок(если это даже его шорты) закрывается именно сейчас, и не сделал этого раньше? Очень сомнительно. Какой смысл делать это сейчас, когда прибыли уже почти нет?

Соответственно, сейчас продолжают закрываться шорты обычных трейдеров. Шорты крупняка давно закрылись в проторговке в районе 6000-6500.

Немного тревожно то, что шорты закрываются с такой активностью, с которой должны были закрываться при выносе их по стопам. Сейчас идет закрытие шортов исключительно у нервных игроков, которые не верят в поход вниз. Это подтверждает то, что первая остановка для разгрузки у крупняка идет именно сейчас. Для разгрузки своих позиций в закрытие шортов обычных трейдеров.

Все также не исключаю варианта с попыткой сбрить основную массу шортистов. Не забываем, что на старте сильного набора шортов их кол-во было равно

17000. Сейчас же их 30000. Все еще большой запас.

В общем, сложная ситуация. Вроде как и шортов все еще много, и сходить выше 7150 можно попробовать, дабы их расшевелить и заставить выйти. Вроде как и лонги открывались на падении, пусть и всего 300 штук(что не сильно много, будем честны). Но мне непонятно то, почему многим шортистам дают выйти именно сейчас, а не делают это выше.

Лично я почти полностью вышел из своих лонг-позиций по BTC. Остались еще кое-какие ордера на подступах к 7200. Слишком много «НО».

Если рассуждать логически и смотреть по какой цене набиралось основное кол-во шортов начиная от 2 августа(и предположить, что это были шорты крупного игрока), то имеем диапазон входа крупняка в пределах 7450-6900. Кто же сейчас закрывает шорты, если крупный игрок закрывал их на дне? Логично, что обычные трейдеры.

Да, можно предположить, что крупный игрок мог оставить часть своих шорт-позиций для закрытия сейчас(чтобы поддерживать цену на плаву).

К тому же, хочу отметить, что начали открываться лонги(последние 10 часов падения). А открываются они на падении и в проторговке.

Как знать, быть может крупный игрок что-то знает и снова пользуется очередной возможностью донабрать позицию.

Longs vs. shorts

On the Bitcoin price chart you can see:

Both longs and shorts are measured in BTC. On shorter timeframes (say below one week) longs and shorts are typically almost straight lines because they don’t fluctuate much and because of Y-axis scaling.

The two charts below the price chart show the same values for total longs and shorts, but capture the short term flucturations much better.

Pain & Mana score

Pain and Mana is a health-score that is calculated by Datamish. Both longs and shorts have a pain and a mana score. Pain is bad and mana is good.

Pain score increases when traders are adding to Bitcoin positions while the market is moving against them. So they could be in for a squeeze.

Increased mana score happens when traders are closing their Bitcoin positions while price is moving with them. They are regaining energy. A positive mana score can sometimes happen after the other side has been squeezed successfully.

Pain and mana score is dependent on timeframe, so Datamish calculates the scores for three different timeframes: 24h, 7d, and 14d.

Pain and mana score does not tell you anything you couldn’t figure out for yourself by looking at the price chart, the longs chart, and the shorts chart. If you want to learn more the about how pain and mana score works then go to one of the time three frames and consider how price, shorts, and longs have developed within in that timeframe.

Longs and USD interest rate

On the chart you can see:

Changes in long positions are important to consider. Increasing longs express a bullish sentiment, and decreasing longs express a bearish sentiment.

If USD interest rate is high, traders are less likely to borrow USD to go long Bitcoin.

Interest rate can be pushed up if there is little funding available, so it is a good idea to keep an eye on both interest rates and available funding. At the top of the page there is a section where you can see how much USD funding is available.

The risk of liquidation means that margin traders are «weak hands» that can easily be shaken out of their positions. If there are too many longs this can result in a long squeeze.

Shorts and Bitcoin interest rate

On the chart you can see:

If Bitcoin interest rate is high, traders are less likely to borrow Bitcoin to go short. Interest rate can be pushed up if there is little Bitcoin funding available, so that is worth considering. At the top of the page there is a section where you can see how much Bitcoin funding is available.

Changes in short positions are important to consider. If shorts increase then sentiment is bearish, and if shorts decrease then bearish sentiment is decreasing.

The risk of liquidation means that margin traders are «weak hands» that can easily be shaken out of their positions. If there are too many shorters then that can lead to a short squeeze.

Соотношение длинных и коротких позиций по биткоину на Bitfinex в ряде примеров превышало отметку 4 до настоящего времени, и всякий раз это явление сопровождалось последующим падением курса. Сейчас коэффициент составляет 4,77, а значит, есть предпосылки для реализации нового медвежьего сценария.

Крупные транзакции с участием биткоина уже стали привычным делом, но недавние операции все же насторожили участников сообщества. Так, на днях буквально за 15 минут между разными адресами были перемещены токены почти на 10 млрд долларов. Масштабные переводы зачастую предшествуют обвалу биткоина.

Криптовалютный трейдер и аналитик @filbfilb указывает на стремительный рост числа длинных позиций по BTC на площадке Bitfinex, особенно в сравнении с числом шортов.

Трейдер также отмечает, что для получения прибыли от продаж с хеджированием лонгов с целью получения более высоких цен для продажи выглядит уместной стратегией.

Биткоин и лонги на Bitfinex

Чтобы определить потенциальную реакцию рынка на рост длинных позиций следует отбросить примеры, в которых число ордеров на покупку превышает 35 тыс.

Сейчас число лонгов составляет 36,755. Но если большое количество длинных позиций всякий раз приводит к снижению цены, то определить масштабы и направление долгосрочного тренда по одному этому фактору не представляется возможным.

Соотношение коротких и длинных позиций

Есть еще один метод, который используется при анализе соотношения длинных и коротких позиций. Коэффициент превышал отметку 4 пять раз.

Каждый раз за этим явлением следовало снижение разных масштабов. Кроме того, примеры, в которых количество длинных позиций существенно превышало число шортов, зачастую сочетались с очень стремительным ростом цены, за которым следовало падение.

Таким образом, высокий коэффициент всегда приводит в последующему сбросу токенов. Поскольку на данный момент соотношение составляет 4,8, при условии, что текущий паттерн сохранится, в скором времени биткоин ждет падение.

В заключении стоит отметить, что если ордера на покупку сами по себе не являются надежным индикатором движения цен, то соотношение лонгов и шортов можно использовать для определения направления токена. И если верить истории, можно предположить, что в ближайшей перспективе BTC упадет.
